PCR|ONE is the world’s rapid detection of bacteria and viruses system – up to 20 different pathogens and drug resistance genes

PCR|ONE system is a complete, stand-alone solution for immediate detection of a wide range of pathogens and genetic targets at the point of care. The system consists of analyser and disposable cartridges that are loaded with clinical samples and automatically processed for detailed diagnosis within 15 minutes. PCR|ONE uses physical multiplexing as one of the two systems in the world. This technology allows for fast expansion and adaptation of the assay panels in response to changing needs and epidemiological threats. 

Technology

Proprietary infrared (IR) amplification technology
Allows for 40 cycles of real-time PCR in 7 minutes. This patented ultra-fast PCR technology has been tested tens of thousands of times over 8 years of development of the PCR|ONE system.

Microfluidics for physical multiplexing
PCR|ONE conducts each PCR in a separate
micro-well and uses triplicates of each reaction for maximum robustness and accuracy.

We have designed and developed PCR|ONE to be an “information generator” to deliver actionable test results for clinicians in a timely and efficient manner in a variety of care settings. Offering complete required information:

The PCR|ONE system is ideally suited for use in hospital admission wards for systematic and immediate screening of patients. The PCR|ONE system meets key needs: economic efficiency, rapid screening, and rapid adaptation to the changing landscape of the genetic variants of pathogens.

The unique speed and simplicity of use of the PCR|ONE system provides the shortest time to results as well as gold-standard confidence in results. PCR|ONE test panels are executed within 15 minutes with only ~1 minute of hands - on time. A single PCR|ONE system can test up to 30 samples within an 8-hour shift. This high bench-space and cost efficiency means that this system is ideal for integrating into the laboratory environment.

Many common conditions such as influenza require simultaneous tests against multiple genetic targets. The PCR|ONE platform delivers this capacity in point-of-care format

We can test the high-risk suspect patients selected by a less specific method (e.g.temperature measurement). This reduces costs (by eliminating the isolation of actually negative - i.e. noninfected people), and isolating infected people in an instant.

Non-traditional use scenarios gained momentum, including point - of - care (POC) Dx at pharmacy and retail settings. PCR|ONE fits this trend well thanks to the physical multiplexing that allows offering a wide range of tests and their rapid adaptation, and the ease of use allows it to be located outside the hospital or laboratory.

PCR|ONE allows for non-laboratory workers to perform tests on-site in a plug - and - play mode,  so all entrants can be tested to minimise the risk of infection of the most vulnerable elderly people. Load sample

The cartridge is designed with a sample chamber adopted for the introduction of the swab. The user breaks the head of the swab in the sample chamber and closes the lid. The cartridge is loaded into the analyzer where the whole automated process starts.

Insert & run

PCR|ONE system performs a fully automatic analysis. The whole process of sample purification and preparation including RNA isolation, sample splitting, Real-Time PCR reaction, melting analysis, reading and displaying results, is integrated and automated.
