In November 2019 Curiosity Diagnostics signed a grant agreement with the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development for the project concerning intellectual property protection. The aim of the project, realized within the Smart Growth Operational Programme 2014-2020, is obtaining international patent protection for two inventions used in a microfluidic cartridge for molecular diagnostics. Total value of the project is 698 000,00 zł and the value of the grant is up to 349 000,00 zł.
On June 21st 2017 Curiosity Diagnostics signed an agreement with The National Centre for Research and Development for the project “An innovative system for ultrafast Point-of-Care molecular diagnostics of hospital-acquired infections”. The project is realized within the Smart Growth Operational Programme 2014-2020 co-financed by ERDF.
The aim of the project is to develop a rapid point-of-care system for molecular (PCR) diagnostics of the Staphylococcus aureus and Clostridium difficile. Developed product will be superior to existing solutions not only in terms of total turnaround time but in number of genes detected in single run also. The research and development activities conducted within the project will provide particular components of such system – an automated analyzer, a microfluidic chip where the main part of an assay takes place as well as biochemical methods. An industrialization and clinical research are also within a scope of the project.
Total value of the project is 8 274 475,46 zł and a public subsidy is 5 620 431,67 zł.

The aim of the projects, realized within the Smart Growth Operational Programme 2014-2020, is obtaining an international patent protection for two inventions – method and the system for isolation of nucleic acids and microfluidic chip with the pressure and flow control system. The international PCT applications have been filed as part of the projects and in the future they will enter national/regional phases. Total values of the projects are 360 695,35 zł and 329 295,35 zł and a public subsidies are 171 150 zł and 155 450 zł respectively.
